Reflection

Then the LORD God said, “It is not
good for the man to be alone. I will
 make a helper who is like him.”

Genesis 2:18

God created woman to be a “helper.” Helper or “helpmate” does not mean one that is subordinate to another, but rather one who offers expertise, in word or deed, to another in love.

The Hebrew word for helper is “Ezer.” Translated to Greek is “Boethos.” Boethos only appears once in the Greek New Testament, making reference to the Lord.

Therefore, we may boldly say:
The Lord is my helper;
I will not be afraid.
Hebrews 13:6

Each of these women were real everyday women going about their real everyday lives when God intervened.
These women are proof God desires those from all backgrounds and walks of life to follow Him.
Did these amazing women know the impact their obedience to God’s call on their lives would make on the world stage? It’s doubtful. Are the women of today realizing the impact their life is making on the world stage now? Probably not. But….it is!
These were ordinary women given extraordinary tasks. These women are proof that even though we might not see results in the here and now, our lives can and will affect the hereafter for others.
Each one of these women show all things are possible with God, no matter the circumstances. When we surrender to God, through Christ, in the power of the Holy Spirit, God works in unexpected ways to show His power and reveal His love to us and through us.

Thought for the day:
Faith sees the invisible,
and achieves the impossible.
